About Rochester Hills Asphalt Paving
Rochester Hills Asphalt Paving installs, rebuilds and maintains asphalt driveways, approaches and small parking lots in Rochester Hills and the surrounding Oakland and Macomb County communities.
Much of the area was built out between the 1960s and the 2000s, so a lot of the driveways here are on their first or second replacement. The ground varies a great deal: Rochester Hills alone runs from about 690 feet of elevation in the southeast to over 1,000 feet in the northwest, with the Clinton River and Paint Creek valleys cutting through. Some lots drain fast; others hold water all spring. That is why we start every job by looking at the ground and the water, not the asphalt.
How a job runs
1. Site visit. We measure, check how water moves across and off the drive, probe for soft spots and look at the approach, culvert or curb at the road. 2. Written quote. Each part of the job is listed: removal, gravel base depth, asphalt thickness and layers, approach work, edges, and price. 3. Permits. If the work reaches the road right-of-way, we tell you who controls it (the city, the Road Commission for Oakland County, Macomb County or MDOT) and how that part is handled. 4. Base and paving. Old surface out, base rebuilt and compacted, hot mix placed and rolled. 5. Care instructions. When to drive on it, how to treat it the first summer, and when to seal.
No work starts until you sign off on the quote, and any change is written up for your approval first. Call (947) 622-8745 for a site visit.
